Hello, readers! My name is Justin Watrel and welcome to my blog site, “Visiting a Museum: Small, Medium & Large” has been created to compliment my blogs, “MywalkinManhattan.com”, “LittleShoponMainStreet@Wordpress.com”  and “DiningonaShoeStringinNYC@Wordpress.com”, my extensive project in walking the entire island of Manhattan and my dining site.

As I have walked around the island of Manhattan and beyond the city, I have discovered so many wonderful and interesting smaller museums, gardens & parks and historical sites that I mention in my blog site and on TripAdvisor but in not as much detail as I wanted.  I wanted to give all these places the credit they deserve.

There are so many undiscovered treasures not just in Manhattan but all over the city and not just in New York City but in the surrounding suburbs and way beyond the city. I want to make tourists aware of these hidden gems and why they should visit them. Sometimes we bypass these ‘little gems’ for the larger and more well known tourists sites and museums.

I will try to provide a description of the site as well information that they provide of their establishment. These are the places you miss when you are visiting the local area and give you the sense of ‘community’ that they provide and the story that the site tries to tell. So from small community gardens to historical homes, I will try to find the ‘offbeat and forgotten sites’ that make our make our towns and cities unique.

So join me on a journey into the arts and I hope it has you “Visiting a Museum” (VisitingaMuseum.wordpress.com) in the near future when you are in our area of the country.
